WELCOME TO THE REGIONAL SITE                           REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT NEWS
Welcome to our new look site. This site is maintained by the Western Regional Committee of the Scottish Youth Football Association, which is run by volunteers.

The aim is to allow another avenue for member Clubs to gain access to information on Regional and National Issues, so far almost an incredible 500,000 friends and supporters have visited this site since it's launch in November 2000

We don't have any links to other sites set up as yet however we have a new Supporters Page where Companies can advertise Products and Services such as Kit Suppliers and Tournament Planners and Travel Insurance deals. Our latest partner is Play Manager click on their link to go to that site and watch for an article soon. Adverts are accepted for a nominal donation and this money will go directly to the Development Squads- why not pay them a visit and you could save yourself some money. 300 Club we are at present trying to increase the membership, thanks to all who have recently joined the 300 Club, so watch for the newsletters coming soon.

Glasgow City Cup Tournament 2008 - Great Success

The Glasgow City Cup for 2008 has now completed and was judged by all to have been the best yet. With the new age group of Under 21 complementing last years Tournament the feedback was positive. The Tournament is set to run again in 2009 and applications will be available online at the end of August visit www.glasgowcitycup.org.uk

  Regional Development Trials

Trials for the Under 15 Squad will take place on Monday 8th September at Renfrew High School. Meet for 7pm

Trials for the Under 16 Squad will take place on Monday 15th September at Renfrew High School. Meet for 7pm

   Western Regional Cup -2009   - . The draw for the 2009 West Regional Cup will be published by the 1st Oct 2009. All Teams in the Region will be in the draw and this year you must use the Regional Cup Teamlines which can be downloaded nearer that time. The first games will be in November

Under 15 Inter Region Trophy  Inter Region Cup Finals

 These took place at Stenhousemuir's Ground on the 2nd March and there was a great show of football from all competitors. North Region won the Under 14's 3:1 and West won the Under 15's 4:1 see Squads page for details

A successful weekend  was held on the 10th/11th July 2005 with USA Coach George Sasvari - for more details to follow this week

Glasgow City Cup Tournament 2009

The Glasgow City Cup will again be played at the start of next season. The Tournament will be held fin Aug at the Glasgow Green Complex. Age Groups are 13-21 for boys and 13 & 21 for Girls.
